NATIONAL PERSONNEL CERTIFICATION SCHEME UPDATE

Dear Colleagues

The LPG Australia National Personnel Certification Scheme improves the future prospects of you and your industry by formally recognising your knowledge, skills and qualifications against industry best practice.

Since its launch in June 2011, the Advisory Council Working Group – Personnel Certification Program has been updating the Scheme’s Certification Requirements and completing the Skill Assessments for the High Risk Scopes.

As part of this updating, the LPG Australia National Personnel Certification Requirements - Edition 2 has now been approved by the Working Group and is available on the LPG Australia website. It includes:
  • alignment of the Scheme’s Knowledge Requirements with Australian Quality Framework Units of Competency (from the most common National Training Packages studied in the industry) - recognising RTO delivered industry training makes it simpler and easier to apply; and

  • an update of the Scheme’s Qualification Requirements that includes State Authorities’ requirements for High Risk Scopes.
Also available on the LPG Australia website are the High Risk Scopes’ Skill Assessment forms which have been developed for an:
  • LPG Tanker Driver;

  • LPG Cylinder Filler (Decant); and
  • Autogas Equipment Installer & Maintainer (Automotive Retrofitter).
So, apply today for LPG Australia Certification if you are:
  • working in the LPG industry and want to improve your career prospects by becoming a ‘Certified’ industry professional;

  • an LPG industry employer who wants to increase customer and community confidence in your services by having your employees certified to industry best practice; or

  • an experienced LPG professional and want to further improve your career prospects by becoming a Skill Assessor for the LPG Tanker Driver, LPG Cylinder Filler (Decant) and Autogas Equipment Installer & Maintainer (Automotive Retrofitter) Scopes.
Julie Mitcheson is available now to assist you with your application and answer any questions you might have about the certification process. Julie can be contacted via email or direct on 0422 635 439.
